My name is Andrew Hay. I am a minister with Restoration Fellowships International. I have been involved in coordinating and running camps for over 20 years as a minister, PE teacher and school principal. If you are looking for a beautiful setting for a relaxed self-catered camp I would recommend you consider the wonderful features Camp Drewe has to offer.

We have used Camp Drewe for our church’s annual men’s retreat and teenager camps since 1999. We find the facilities suit these camps perfectly. The location is fabulous (right on one of the most attractive beaches in Australia) It is a unique setting in that it is very close to shops and amenities yet totally secluded and private in its location (you never have strangers wandering through the campgrounds). The grounds are simply set out with a focus on the local wildlife and natural bushland setting while allowing plenty of room for camp activities and games.

The self-catered style is perfect for us as it keeps costs down and allows us to run our programs with a degree of flexibility and integration that is impossible in a more formal catered situation.

Both the dining and meeting halls are well laid out and have an easy relaxed ambience– There is good cold room space and a very functional kitchen, whilst it is well worth noting that the meeting hall piano is in tune and the sound system works well. The sleeping accommodation is screened, comfortable and easy to maintain whilst the ablutions block has been recently refurbished.

Above all these things the staff at the camp are so tremendously helpful and accommodating. There is a real culture of care and hospitality evident every time you visit.

Dear Len, just want to thank you so much for the use of your facility again. the men love coming to camp Drew for its close proximity to the beach and so many activities around you to do. your hospitality is always a highlight as well as your challenge to us each time on arrival.
